We teach a number of seminars and workshops about trees, tree care and fruit growing on our farm, Sprout Farms Apple Orchards. Amanda, our farm owner, also teaches at other locations throughout the year.
It is our pleasure to invite you to our farm to participate in our education program. Sprout Farms Apple Orchards are located about 20-30 minutes north of Edmonton, Alberta on Hwy 28 (ST), 1 km east of Bon Accord on the highway, then 2 km north on Lily Lake Road (Range Road 235). Come out and learn the exciting art of grafting. We will start the day with discussion about what, where and when to graft. We will talk about preparing your trees to receive grafts, what wood to use for grafting and many other tips that will help you be successful. The second part of the course will be a hands-on session where we will focus on bud grafting.

Spend time in the orchard with Amanda and learn how to prepare your trees and shrubs for winter survival.
We will discuss fall and winter pruning, pest control, preparing the root zone for winter, fall watering, and techniques to protect your plants from fluctuating weather through the winter months. You will have an opportunity to practice some of the techniques first hand.
Please come appropriately dressed for the weather conditions on the day of the workshop. All workshops have indoor and outdoor components.
Please bring a lunch; there is not enough time to leave the farm to purchase lunch. Coffee and tea will be supplied.
